Karen started her career at Glow Productions after graduating from Bournemouth University with a degree in Media Production. During this time Karen successfully completed many roles and was promoted from designer/programmer to Account Manager.
In 2002 Karen joined InDzine as Senior Account Manager and online marketing specialist. Her marketing knowledge comes from studying Charted Institute of Marketing Qualifications, working towards CIM Chartered Marketer and proven experience in the industry. Karen manages InDzine’s key accounts and will regularly be seen at client offices across Europe or on the telephone ensuring everything is going to plan. Her organised nature, creative flair and attention to detail ensure client projects meet their objectives, are produced on time and within budget.
Karen has been working with Avery Dennison as European project leader for the last two and a half years. This has involved designing integrated online and offline marketing campaigns to run across nine European countries. Experience such as this means Karen is familiar with regional marketing differences in terms of markets and their behaviour, data and accessibility regulations and promotional policies.
Online marketing is Karen’s passion and she uses various new media techniques to reach target market segments in new and interesting ways. Social networking, podcasting and user generated content are all terms that won’t phase Karen. During her five years as InDzine’s online specialist Karen has a fantastic track record in results driven online campaigns.
She has helped many organisations take the leap into online marketing. This has involved producing well designed, search engine optimised, customer friendly web sites and successfully driving traffic to them.
